Lashing Blondes Can Be Difficult!

Lashing Blondes Can Be Difficult!

Jan 24th 2023

Blonde lashes tend to be hard to see. Some lashes may get glued together just because they blend in so well with the pad it can be hard to isolate correctly. Here are some tips to help:

1)  Use Hydro Gel Eye-pads, Tape and a Lash Map

Blondes tend to have short bottom lashes that can be hard to spot. Use the PremierLash Hydro Gel Eye-Pads to secure the inner corner and then tape to secure the outer corner. After you apply the gel pad, have the client close their eyes and ask if they are comfortable in that resting position. Remember to lift up their top lid a bit to ensure the gel pad and tape are not creeping up into their eye. Lastly apply a lash map sticker.

2) Highlight the lashes using a marker

Blonde, nearly white, lashes can blend in with the gel pad and make it hard to isolate. In those instances, take a pink marker and shade along the gel pad under the lash line to help them show up better.

3) Tape back lashes

The inner corner can be the most frustrating on any client but especially on blondes. Those baby lashes can sneak under the gel pad or be frustrating to isolate when they seem to be going different directions. Take a bit of tape and lightly pull from the middle of the lid outward, so it spreads out the lashes in the inner corner.

4) Place extensions near the base of the lash line

Place the lash extension as close to the base of the lash.  A darker lash line means the appearance of thicker lashes . Use a pair of the PremierLash  lash extension tweezers for classic or volume application!

5) Use brown lashes and apply lashes in layers.

Soften the lash line by using PremierLash Brown Lashes and/or Brown Black Ombre Lashes.  As you know, lashes grow in layers.  Cut is hydro gel eye pad in half and use it to left the top layers out of the way.  This will enable you to apply extensions at the base of the bottom layers.
