BLACK SILICONE MICROPORE FACIAL TAPE | 2 PC

The purpose of using black tape is to block out UV light during the curing process. Place tape over all exposed skin, eye lid included.  

By using black tape, lash stylists create a dark environment around the lashes being worked on.  This prevents unwanted exposure of the adhesive to UV light, ensuring a controlled and accurate curing process. The black tape helps in achieving proper bonding and adherence of the lash extensions without any interference from external light sources. It's a common practice in the lash extension industry to enhance the effectiveness of the adhesive and ensure a secure bond between natural and extension lashes.

Because our eye pads make seeing blond or light colored lashes difficult, changing the background color is exactly what the situation call for.  By adding a colored backgroud suddenly you are able more lashes.  Also, it is best practice to achor your eye pads to keep them away from the water-line.  

Silicone Micropore Facial Tape is a hypoallergenic tape that removes cleanly and is gentle on on delicate at risk-skin.  It is a popular alternative to hydro gel or thick gel pads.  Because of perferations, it can be torn in strips to lift the eye lid and fan the lid.  Also used for the tape back technique.

To use:

Cut into 1-3 inch sections or eye length.  Apply in a a curve to outline your client's eye shape.  De-tac on the back of your hand to reduce stickiness (older clients) but not necessary.  Apply to the top of the eye pad or tape down the bottom lashes.  Once tape is positioned correctly, draw your lash map.  Apply 1-3mm below the waterline. 

Perferated tape can be torn into thin stips 1/4 inch wide X 3/4 inch long to lift/fan the eye lid.  Applied in a v-shape.
